Fly Car Models of Madrid was launched in 1996 and we are proud to have been their UK distributors ever since.  If ever a slot car product was introduced that turned the hobby on its head it was this.  The level of detail, finish and tampo printing had not been seen before and a lot of early potential customers were convinced, looking through shop windows, that they were looking at high quality die cast models and not slot cars!

However, one soon realised when on the track that these cars were not just pretty but extremely fast too.  The first model was a Chrysler Viper, quickly followed by a Venturi, but it was the classic Porsche 908 and Ferrari 512s that really got the collectors hearts pounding and Fly were not going to disappoint them.  Almost every month a new livery was introduced, with Fly stating that all liveries would have a one off production run of no more than 10,000 and many a lot fewer.

Fly were quick to realise that their models were becoming collectable, and not only were they adding new prototypes to the range but they started to introduce special limited editions, some only available in one country.  By the late 90’s Fly collecting had become huge.  Another area that the company moved into is the popular European sport of truck racing.  These models are not just fabulously detailed but huge.  Passing on most tracks is an art in its self but immense fun.

Not wishing to turn their backs on the real racer, the company also saw the potential of producing slot cars that could hold their own down at the club track. These cars feature a stiffer chassis, lightweight bodies, improved gearing wheels and tyres and higher RPM motors.  Other items that have been recently introduced are their high quality hand controllers with different resistance Ω options, also modern day pit walls and team pit-wall awnings.

Fly also offer a complete range of spares so replacing worn parts is not a problem, but for the scratch builder or club racer upgrades and accessories are plentiful.
